Annabelle

​Bonjour!

I’m Annabelle, a franchisee for Les Petits Pois fun French and a mum to two little boys, both under 5. 

 

I’ve always had a passion for languages. I have early memories of doing activities in French with my grandfather who attended French classes as an adult. During my time at school I attended many trips and excursions which fed my interest further. I studied French at the University of Edinburgh and during my year abroad I taught in a school near Lille, Northern France, this really gave me the bug for teaching and learning.  After university, in 2011, I completed my PGCE and began my teaching career. I’ve taught in secondary and primary schools in both the state and private sectors. I also had a wonderful 2 years teaching at a British school in Madrid, Spain. 

 

After having my own children I became very interested in early childhood development, particularly language development. Being a franchisee of Les Petits Pois fun French allows me to combine my love for languages with my passion for teaching and learning along with early language development. 

 

From November, I will be running pre-school sessions in local nurseries. Sessions are themed and the children learn through singing, stories, craft and play. The learning is wrapped up inside the fun activities, and beyond learning French, we cover all areas of the early years framework.

I look forward to bringing the joy of learning French to lots of little people!
